Ah, yes. Hurricane relief - the Red Cross sends food, money and blood. The US National Guard sends moving equipment and medics. The US Marine Corps sends troops to restore order.

The Gideons? They're collecting volunteers and tying up as much shipping as they can to send that most critical of emergency hurricane supplies, Bibles.

With luck, these'll be the ones with cheap paper; they make dandy temporary (and absorbent) levee-plugs when used in bulk.

You're expecting anything different from *FREE REPUBLIC*?

There's a reason "freeper" is a derogatory term for "ignorant, bigoted religious hypocrite".

It's why I was so shocked to find one single intelligent one, last week - it's like finding a high-school biology graduate at a Christian Science convention.

The worst part is that they're new-testament only, so all the handy tips on how to deal with floods are left out.

And I missed kindling... which was (oddly enough) pointed out on the FR site.
