That they've got *twice* the fatal limit in their system, requiring days of hard work drinking moonshine during every conscious moment - and they die of something that *isn't* alcohol poisoning?

Yup. Usually it is drunk driving though.

I hold that "drunk driving" is really a form of alcohol poisoning, and hence should be included in deaths caused by excessive drinking.

OTHER PEOPLE hitting YOU when you're drunk, though, is not.

What if it is a mutual hitting though? Last I checked Guiness, Latvia has the most traffic accident deaths per capita. While I didn't see any accidents myself while I was over there, some people did get killed in an accident by the place where we were going to for Midsummer a few hours before we got there. The Latvian police etc. seem very efficient in clearing off roads after accidents, becuase there were no signs of it when we got there. The roads there are like roads here in general.

I know I've read of other cases like this too, it is just that drunk driving deaths are more common with these blood alcohol levels.

The mother who commented that kids young enough to be "traumatized" wouldn't have a freeking clue what the sculpture was about. If it was a *bum* they'd recognize it, and think it was terribly funny.

The kids old enough to know what it is are also the kids that are either carving penises in school desks, or are regularly subjected to said artwork produced by their peers. At least the snow penis was reasonably anatomically correct, if huge.
