For anyone who's been dealing with the whole "Any religion that permits atrocities in the 21st century has no right to exist!" moron subculture arguing against Islam, here I give you Christians in Kinshasa, and their "naming your children as witches and torturing them, for profit" churches.
[These are] fundamentalist Christian sects, of which there are thousands in Kinshasa. They make money out of identifying 'witches' and increasingly parents bring troublesome children to the pastors. 'It's a business,' says Mafu. 'For a fee of $5 or $10 they investigate the children and confirm they are possessed. For a further fee they take the child and exorcise them, often keeping them without food for days, beating and torturing them to chase out the devil.'

Children who do well in school can also be accused of witchcraft. The common charge is they have been seen flying or eating human flesh. Their confessions of killing and eating relatives are broadcast live on TV channels owned by evangelical churches. What once seemed aberrations from extremist sects now seem to be becoming commonplace.

Given that I agree with the idea even more. Any religion that espouses torture and killing shouldn't be permitted. Outlawing christianity sounds better and better every day.

Though really, i think people in general should stop blaming religion on both sides. Don't blame religion because people do stupid stuff: they're just stupid and evil. And don't blame religion on your own stupid evil bullshit. You didn't hook a guiy's nuts up to a car battery because Jesus wanted you to, you did it because you wanted to, end of story.

Umm... I'd have to go hunt down the news stories... but aren't they having an issue with that in England too?
