The largest list of odds of dying I've ever seen.

For example, as the occupant of a car, in 2001 you had a 1 in 19075 chance of dying. Assuming 2001 was a representative year, your lifetime odds of dying in a car accident when born in 2001 are 1 in 247.

Is that being in a car and dying in an accident, or dying in an accident relating to cars?

That is "Deaths Due to Unintentional (Accidental) Injuries, Car occupant"

So you were *in* the car. Being a pedestrian hit by a car is a different item in the table, as are trucks, vans, busses, bicycles, etc. It doesn't count anything but what you were doing and that you died.
