Roger Eberts really bad facelift makes him look like... he had a really bad facelift.

Never trusted that trog.

Or critics in general, for that matter.

Though, even as a comic fan, I have no interest in seeing Supes.

After his review of Silent Hill, I don't see why I should give a rat's ass about Roger Ebert.

I guess that's his opinion.

I wonder what his feelings would have been about a Superman movie where he completes every task effortlessly and gets Lex's Kryptonite wrapped up in lead in .36 seconds.

Roger Ebert wrote "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls." While I have higher hopes for the movie than Ebert's review explored, at least Roger took a stab at film-making. (His flick sucked, too, but I think even he would agree.) Still, two stars isn't all that bad - it could have been worse.

...then again, Ebert liked Robin Williams' "Popeye" musical. ;-)

...um, and he gave a Garfield movie three stars?

Am I missing something in context here?

PROS: Loved the FX. Loved Kevin Spacey. Loved Perry White. Opening credits/ending shots were geek-tastic. Kate Bosworth's a decent Lois Lane (see: "Anyone but that banshee Margot Kidder"). Plane scene was the shit. Heat vision rocks. Brandon Routh wasn't half bad.

CONS: Parker Posey's character (why????). Luthor's master plan makes zero sense. Plotline surrounding Lois' son. Anticlimactic finale. Hospital scenes were goofy. Luthor's still smarter and cooler in the comics than he's ever been on film (i.e. the only character Smallville got right).
