I am repulsed. Something in me tells me that is a horrible thing. The chicken was still alive, he couldn't see or eat or smell, but he couldn't die! It reminds me of "Johnny Got His Gun." Being trapped in your body like that is horrible. Poor chicken.

That would be "hen" you're thinking of. "Chicken" is the generic term.
