The fact that he's fully aware he might die, and is prepared is heart-hurting.

I'm not sure if I'm more disturbed by the headline, or the fact that the puppy was a "The 15-week-old puppy, a black-and-tan Chihuahua and Doberman mix"

I'm not even sure that the spatial relationships of that kind of a cross works.

Whoever this person in need to have everything they've EVER held dear defiled and destroyed infront of them. Slowly.

And then made to live a very long time.

That's incredibly sad. I hope they get the puppy back and nail whoever took it.

Indeed. Especially since the pup was caringly locked up in a car in a campus garage with I BELONG TO A DYING CHILD WITH TERMINAL CANCER branded in 8" all caps on it's side. The cops should definitely be on the outlook for the Grinch.

yeah, probably the person was concerned for the dog locked in the hot car. It's terrible, but dude, this is one of many reasons I don't leave my dog locked in my car.

I hope he gets the dog back though. I mean dude, seriously, its name is Chemo.

There's no indication that the parking garage was hot, exposed to the sun, that the car was sealed, or, most importantly, of how long the dog had been there.

The mother's comment about the dog being wild and uncontrollable away from the boy doesn't give me much hope for her training ability, but it also doesn't mean that she's actually done anything wrong.

Cars can still get very hot on a warm day even if they're not in the sun. Assuming, however, that the dog was only left in the car for a short time so they could run an errand or something, that doesn't mean that the person who took him knew that. So hopefully that person was trying to save the dog, will hear the story, and will give little Chemo back.

I'm not saying that the dog was in a hot car but I am saying that it is highly unlikely that the thief knew that the dog belonged to a kid dying of cancer, and I'm saying that where the car was parked could suggest to the thief that the owners could afford another dog. Stealing from the well-off is not good, but it is better than stealing from the poor.

Ergo, the virulence of the ire towards this dognapper is unwarranted.
