On the topic of Star Control...

theweaselkingWhile I'm talking about Star Control, I give you the Precursors: A group of people remixing the Star Control music, and releasing it both in OGG files to be used in SC2 itself and also as MP3s.
If you like ambient techno at all, you might want to check these guys out. I particularly recommend Starbase: Under A Red Sky and Property Of The Crimson Corporation as two divergent examples that I've really liked so far.
Oh, and for something on a very different but equally cool note, I give you Culture 19. To quote the first reviewer, "It's smurfy. Makes me want to dress in black and have angry sex with a piece of Ikea furniture."
