A sad end to the lion-puppy story.

Koza, the lion cub in the San Diego Zoo who was given a Mastiff puppy to play with to help him socialise, has died.
One of the adult female lions attacked him, and the injuries were so severe that the veterinarians put him down.
He was five months old.
The puppy has been put into a new home.
