[livejournal.com profile] harald387 posted this with the note that he feels it's more that the person in the study feels ignored by two *people* since he doesn't know those are computers, but the principle remains!

This research has given me something I've always wanted: The ability to physically hurt people OVER THE INTERNET.

I must now take up IMing.

A long and complicated essay on why one guy really likes the Star Wars Prequels

He's got a point, all the way through, and I agree with him. The problem is, he seems to be ignoring the stuff that actually made them suck, like the acting and the script and Jar-Jar. I don't know of anyone arguing that the *stories* were bad.

"YIPPEE!"

"The Hamdog."

The dish, a specialty of Mulligan's, a suburban bar, is a hot dog wrapped by a beef patty that's deep fried, covered with chili, cheese and onions and served on a hoagie bun. Oh yeah, it's also topped with a fried egg and two fistfuls of fries.

The Boxing Day tsunami has revealed what archaeologists believe to be the lost ruins of an ancient city off Tamil Nadu in Southern India.

The 30-feet waves, which reshaped the Bay of Bengal and swept more than 16,000 Indians to their deaths, shifted thousands of tons of sand to unearth the pair of elaborately carved stone lions near the 7th-century Dravidian Shore Temple at Mahabalipuram.

More about Jeff Gannon, gay prostitute and Bush's favourite paid media shill.

Warning: You've got to scroll down for a bit, but there are marginally safe-for-work pictures - censored, but still of everyone's favourite naked reporter.

In case you somehow missed Our Story So Far, a prostitute was hired to be a fake reporter from a fake news agency paid for by the Republican National Committee, given White House access on a "daily pass" for more than two years, and called on regularly by the administration to deflect questions, derail lines of inquiry, and attack topics that the White House couldn't officially address.

And what have people done about it? Nothing.
