Our long-range, exploding-head forecast calls for ... Guildsmen gallop around the Boeoegg -- a snowman made of wadding and filled with firecrackers atop a bonfire -- to the tune of the Sechselaeuten March in Zurich's Sechselaeuten Square. The faster the head of the Boeoegg, the symbol of winter, catches fire and explodes, the warmer and more beautiful the summer will be.

US supreme court rules, 5-4 on strict line between faith-based and fact-based judges, that law banning abortion in the USA after the first trimester is legal and does not need to contain any exceptions for the health of the mother.

The 5 faith-based judges ignored all actual medical testimony in the matter to reach this conclusion, reversing the unanimous decision of the original court and the appeal court who looked at the facts and saw that the law clearly violated the rights of the mothers.

Virginia Tech Massacre happens again, 4.75 times over, and yet nobody seems to give two shits. I wonder why? Oh, wait, a Virginia Tech Massacre's been happening AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH for the last FOUR YEARS STRAIGHT.

And those are just the ones Americans are responsible for.

See also: headlines of "worst massacre in US history" that appear to have completely missed a half dozen others where the victims were Americans, and that's leaving alone all the others where the Americans were just the shooters, not the victims. My Lai, anyone?

Why do I keep forgetting that having brown skin means you're not really human? I keep getting told that by Fox and CNN and NBC, over and over again, but it never seems to sink in.

Is it too much to ask that JUST ONE of my relatives get my fiancee's name right when responding to the wedding invite?

It's not like it's a complicated name, or that it's not written on the invitation TWICE.
