Just checking; you've added him without managing to read his u-info? That's impressive.

Huh? Yes, I did. Did I miss something? Was there something there about not friending him that I missed? Is there some reason you're snarking at me on someone else's behalf?

I was thinking more along the line of the set of instructions on how to friend him, which sorta gives a little hint.

As for me snarking? It comes with the territory, and it wasn't on his behalf, just mine. I snark therefore I am. Well, actually, I'm British, ergo I take the piss, but snarking appears to be LJese for the concept.

Is that a narnia (book) insprired icon? the art is familiar.

I mean, yes, I did read Weasel King's user info. Several times. I saw something about letting him know where I found his journal. If there's something there about not adding the journal, I'm not seeing it.

Weasel King, I don't knnow why I'm arguing with someone over adding your journal to my list; I'm finding this a very weird interaction and certainly not how I want to meet someone in LJLand. Of course, the whole "friends" term is silly; we don't know each other. I just liked the images you post and thought it would be interesting to see what you're finding interesting. If there's some reason you don't want me to link to you, by all means let me know.

What he's referring to is the bit where it says, roughly "I don't mind if you friend me, not that I could stop you, so welcome in. I love new people. The only thing I ask is that you tell me how you found me".

So. I don't mind if you friend me, link me far and wide as much as you want, and if Mat's annoys you, ignore him. He's harmless.

Oh, well, I took that as rather optional if I didn't want pics and high volume on my friends page. Since I work at home and get bored out of my skull for lack of change of scenery, I *like* high-volume posts that give me something interesting to look at. I've already got filters for individuals set up so I can find my friends' content-full posts and my correspondents' "fun stuff to look at" posts.

I'm not much for recreational snarking, so I didn't really get that you are. It's OK; lots of people don't understand how my brain works, either.

Yes, that's Reepicheep in the icon. From Vogage of the Dawn Treader. It was a better book when I was eight but I still love the character. I like rodents, which is why I liked the strange bony little animals. It is sort of like The Corpse Bride done in animals.

Um...well...hello. Nice to meet you.

I need to have breakfast. The world will probably make more sense after breakfast.

Oy! Am not harmless. Am mostly harmless. Which is a completely different thing (as well as being a much better book)

Yeah, I reread it recently, and had problems with a lot of it, although Reepicheep remained cool. Still haven't seen Corpse Bride, it didn't get a proper theatrical release over here, just a few places not close to me :-(

And yeah, despite dial up, I have a large number of high volume people. That filter got renamed "weasels" for a laugh, and it stuck.

(also? Not harmless, ignore John, he doesn't know anything. Mostly harmless, but not harmless)
