My money's on the sloth: the puppy would bounce around, hyperactive, going "playwithmeplaywithmeplaywithme" for exactly 9 minutes. Then, fearing the sloth's immobility in the face of such liveliness, would start shaking in the fashion the dogs are well known for. Its foe weakened by its own neurosies, the sloth would only have to hook one of its big claws into the large, quivering eye socket of the puppy.
