US Government denies allegations that this is simply allowing torture by proxy.

And, of COURSE you can believe what that US Government says. It's not like *every single thing* coming out of the White House since 2000 has been proven to be a fabrication.

I still have faith in the existence of Barney. (I realize he's not a huge deal, but they actually have links to the First Dog on the White House page, so WTH.)

Remember when they accused Kerry of using "the mother of all cheap political scare tactics" when he said there was great potential for the reinstitution of a military draft if Bush was elected? Oh, those delicate innocent days of mid-October...

Don't mind me. I just got my hands on a copy of the NCRW Missing report, and my outlook is about as bleak as the pit of hell I would like to consign the whole "Kinder, Kirche, Küche" ideal to.
