...and there goes any reason I might ever have had to own a Tivo. One of the things I hate about television is the profusion of commercials and "splash" logos. Why bother with a Tivo if you're STILL going to be stuck with the damned things?
The ability to record TV at any time, and pause and rewind live TV, is awfully neat. As well, if you're fast-forwarding through commercials you're still going to go *faster* even if you're not going to be missing them completely.
On the other hand, your new copyright legislation will make fast-forwarding commercials a criminal offense, meaning you wouldn't be able to do that ANYWAY.
