"I don't deny that he is sick, but I think the fact that the dog was dead.. He really wasn't harming the creature, it was already dead. I don't think that suggests anything about whether or not he would do stuff to an alive animal, or a child. There are plenty of people who do worse things, really. Plenty of people have sex with live animals, and the animals don't mind a bit. They don't deserve to be put in jail for life. They are just different. We can't understand it, and it disturbs us. But that doesn't make them menaces to society. They aren't hurting anyone or anything.

Now, if you injure the animal while being sexual with it... That's something different..

The alleged crime occurred near a Day Care Centre on a school day.

I'm not saying charges shouldn't be pressed. But the lady was saying he should go to jail for the rest of his life. I thought it said he was in the woods.. I didn't see that part about the day care.. Did I miss that? OH wow, I totally did. Just saw that now. I saw this part: "Sheeran also upheld the indecent exposure charge. He said it was irrelevant whether the patch of woods where the alleged crime committed was public or private property." And thought that meant he was in the woods.. I mean, that's what it says...
