Commons motion to impeach Tony Blair gets go-ahead

The parliamentary motion to impeach Tony Blair for "gross misconduct" over the war against Iraq will be published next Wednesday, the day after the Queen's speech.

It will be the first to be tabled in 198 years, since Lord Melville, a close friend of the then prime minister, William Pitt the younger, faced impeachment for misusing public money in running the Admiralty.

Pity we can't get Shrub impeached. Clinton gets impeached for a blowjob, Shrub gets to run roughshod over the world with impunity.

Lying isn't illegal (http://www.factcheck.org/specialreports188.html) unless you're under oath. Clinton was impeached for lying about the blowjob in court, not for getting the blowjob. Shrub can lie all he wants, it's not a criminal act. (http://www.livejournal.com/users/theweaselking/126032.html)
