That's an excerpt from "Microcosmos", and it's well worth seeing the whole movie - which manages to be 80 minutes of extreme close-ups of insects and completely fascinating.

It's strange that we(I) find snails having sex to be totally erotic, but two -say- dogs having sex to generally be comical or distasteful depending on the situation.

I suppose dogs rutting strikes a little too close to home and reminds us of how silly we look.

Funny, Microcosmos was a HUGE indie success in Columbus. At the local arthouse theater it ran for several months and sold out repeatedly for weeks on end. The local critics were all giving it 5 stars. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
