I'd certainly give him money - but at that point, it wouldn't be a handout to a homeless man, it would be a tip to a busker.

There's a guy I saw one day with a sign saying "I'm only $1.17 away from taking over the world."

I was going to give him the money, but I was afraid he really believed that.
