He got bored on a patrol and decided to shoot a random donkey...it fucking exploded sky-high. Turns out it had a large explosive "inserted" via some orifice or another and was supposed to go off in a triggered detonation when the patrol got closer. He told his command it had "looked suspicious" and they gave him a medal for saving his unit.
