Oh- very cool!
Hmmm... I wonder if I should try something like that with Granddad's WWI letters.

I'm currently having the interesting time of reading through my father's accounts. Not his diaries, though I'll be moving onto that, but his account of his affair with my mother (they were both married to other people when they started their relationship, though they eventually married a couple of years after my brother and I were born). It's really interesting and yet strange to read stuff from near 30 years ago. Especially when it's about that which eventually led to me.

I copied off one of Granddad's letters for a school geneology project, it was interesting reading, both sides of the very thin paper sheet, and close written, but interesting how he so casually mention that a German Soldier had turned himself in a few days previous and how- "the fellow was in bad shape, but not as bad as if the boys in the front had found him. It goes rough for the Bosche when they get caught up there."

NOWADAYS, If I say "Bosche"-- people think auto parts!
