You know, I was on a train trip last weekend... and as I rode along, we slowly passed another train -- this one cargo, full of tankers.

And I idly watched them pass. Chlorine was in one. Petroleum distillate in another. Various dangerous and deadly chemicals, sealed up in steel for transport across the Canadian landscape.

If we had passed by one marked "Edible Tallow," I think I would have just broken.

...that would be the most awesome theft in history.

First, we work out an appropriate spur to divert the tallow tanker. Then, we work out how far ahead of the spur we would need to uncouple the tanker and the parts of the train behind it so that we could divert the tallow, as well as working out how far down the spur the runaway would go before coasting to a stop. Then, we have an engine on that spur ready to be hooked up, while unhooking the excess baggage....
