#1: "He needed killin'" is no longer a valid defense. Not in and of itself - now it's gotta be "I thought he might be potentially a danger to my lawn". That change has only been there for a couple of years, though.

#2: Texas does not produce the correct kind of consistent, high-quality crazy that is required to merit "Guess The State" status. So far, only Ohio and Florida do that.
