They don't need to request footage from all the cameras that caught the performance, and a single camcorder doesn't get them multiple angles to mix.

No, it says they performed in front of 80 cameras. Nowhere does it say they requested the footage from all 80. Even if they did, it's still far cheaper than hiring a production crew.
