That's pretty cool. I'm fairly sure my goldfish do that, too. I was taking macro photos, without flash, of goldfish eggs, and the little embroyos somersaulted over in their eggs to look at me. I know they were visually tracking what was going on outside their eggs. Whether they were storing those images as memories, I don't know. I suspect so; that would be a very adaptive trait.

Cool, but I don't really get how the little guys make the connection that the crabs would be good prey. Or is it just a recognition thing, maybe?
