Lying For JEEEZUS: Chris Bird exposes the true nature of the Order Of Canada whiners.

Short version: They're lying about who they are, they're lying about the requirements of the Order, they're wrong on every factual claim, and they're accusing the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of bias on transparently spurious and baseless grounds.

Lying: It's what pro-lifers *do*.

Aw, comeon - every single person on this planet is pro-life - Life having begun some four billion years ago on this planet and they're not exactly participating in the discussion unless they are alive.

pro /choice/ - on the other hand...

I don't have that problem.

And you could just increase the font size on the screen. CTRL-downmousewheel should do it on any civilised browser.

We're a constituitional monarchy organized along democratic principles. Saying "we're not a democracy" may be technically correct, but it's still meaningless.

That starts splitting hairs needlessly.

Democracy: "Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives."

More particularly, Canada is *democratic*, even if it doesn't meet some of the stricter or more archaic definitions of "a democracy".

Firefox 2, on this machine.

Mine is Firefox 3.0.1 and is producing larger font with Ctrl + upmousewheel.

I would expect that ctrl + upmousewheel zooms into the window or display under the pointer, as a user interface consistency. I never actually /used/ this feature before ten minutes ago because I always used CTRL + +/- for zooming in and out.

Your mouse has a wheel? Mine just has a little ball, and it's on the bottom ...

When I were a lad, we didn't have no mice, nosiree, we had to whistle cursor-key sequences into a modem. And we were grateful!

P.S.: For me it's control-plus, or just '+', depending on which of my almost-civilized browsers I'm using ... or I just change the font on my xterm if I'm using the truly civilized browser. :-þ

I can't whistle cursor-key sequences but I can whistle a 300-baud DTMF sync tones and the 2600 hz DTMF tones. I can't even whistle Mary Had a Little Lamb, but I can phreak. *shrugs*

I've done that for a long time, but these days it tends to break the WIKKED AWSUM stylesheeting. Seriously, would it kill these people to just let the browser decide what font to use?
