Heh. Yup. The whole point of Guess The State is to make people guess. Since Ohio has no ocean, questions about sharks (and hurricanes, and ocean liners, and palm trees, and all that other stuff) are too easy to guess.
Before, it redirected to a video of Sarah Palin speaking on johnmccain.com, and then after that to johnmccain.com's homepage.
If it really was a fake domain that was set up to embarass them, it would still be pointing to their site. The fact that it redirects to Google *proves* their ownership of it.
I don't dispute that they own the domain. What I do think is that someone in the McCain campaign knows enough about this talking telephone type internet thingy to realise that someone would have registered the domain. So it might as well be them.
