I used to work in a book store, long, long ago. Y'know? At the end of the day, I would unwind with a good book, because I would finally be able to have more than 3 uninterrupted minutes to let myself get engrossed with it!

Yah. I worked Libraries & Bookstores for over 10 years, and the one thing I hated the most was people saying "it must be wonderful to be able to read all the time".
My impression is more "It must be wonderful to get a store discount". Work is work, no matter where you do it, and most of it does not allow for extended time of your own. Just about the only thing like that is night watchman (if you don't do rounds often).
