On the upside, they did manage to spell 'Muslim' correctly.

Well, a muslin president would only be an abomination if (s)he was made from more than one type of fibre...

What is the area code? I feel a sudden inexplicable urge to call and say "even if that was true, you'd just have to deal."

*sigh*

What, exactly, is "a church without walls"? How do they get their ceiling to stay up?

The church clearly has walls. This is a sin against the Lord! Ex 20:16

For those wondering, Exodus 20:3 is "You shall have no other gods before (or besides) me.

I looked it up. Still confused though, since Muslims and Christians worship the same god... Unless they are considering Obama to be a god. Granted, he is pretty cool, but I think that's excessive.

*snrk* If Obama's made from two different,uh..."types", is he still an abomination?

Oh, it's the third commandment (I just looked it up): don't have any gods before their god. So because Obama TOTALLY WORSHIPS ALLAH, he's putting a different god before theirs.

In related news, these people are complete and utter idiots.

I don't think all Muslims and Christians would say their gods are the same.

If you open up the Koran and start speed-reading, it will be less than a minute before you reach the part about where Allah is the god of Adam and Abraham. Of course, one might argue that Islam goes off the page when they set up their "New-and-Improved Testament" that invalidates half of the Torah and sets up their own rules in its place, but by that standard Christians also violate the First Commandment.

(The Third is either to not take the Lord's name in vain or to keep the Sabbath holy depending on whether you use the Protestant or Catholic accounting.)

First commandment, actually. Exodus 20:1-2 is the setup for Moses' big reveal, which happens in 20:3.

(And also in several other places, and none of them agree, although there is overlap. There are, like, *25* unique commandments total in the Ten Comandments)

Oh, the Muslims should definitely say so. The Koran has some passages about Jesus, whom they hold to be the second greatest prophet ever, and who they still expect to return.

This is one reason why it is so hard to convert Muslims to Christianity, despite the material success of the Christian nations. Muslims basically see themselves as more Christian than Christians.

My understanding is that there is no Jewish term for "The Ten Commandments", it's just the introduction to the Book of the Covenant. It'd be like if a nation decided to have an "American-style democracy" but did it by nailing the Preamble on every governmental building and ignoring the rest of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, except that we didn't have the word "preamble" to describe what they were doing.

It's funny how the 10 commandments get referenced all over the place by various Christians not to mention a lot of old testament passages that were essentially superseded by New Testament principles meanwhile passages such as
Matthew 22:39, John 8:7, and the poignancy of the story of the good Samaritan fail to connect with their primary audience.

These folks are flakes. Their sign is Always something slanderous, or worse, their speeches are vile. They picketed the local Ren faire, got arrested for trespassing, and put up a sign accusing the DA of being the devil or some such. They regularily go on about the local abortion provider, they picket nearly everything that the phelps clan does.

My gay sister's ex goes to that church. They had her son trying to speak in tongues before she pulled him out because they were teaching him Mommy was going to hell.

A year or so back though, God got even. Lightning struck their steeple and burned down that section of the church.

Technically, that was for the Jews.

Also, worshipping Jesus is a violation of the second commandment, and crucifixes are a violation of the third (using Jewish numbering).
