I haven't had one of these in a while. Canada's Interim Placeholder Government has nominated a YOUNG EARTH CREATIONIST to the post of Minister of State for Science and Technology

Canada's science minister, the man at the centre of the controversy over federal funding cuts to researchers, won't say if he believes in evolution.

"I'm not going to answer that question. I am a Christian, and I don't think anybody asking a question about my religion is appropriate. Duh, I eat poop!" Gary Goodyear said in an interview with The Globe and Mail.

Given Stephen Harper's long track record of rapidly and vehemently silencing any member of his party who reveals the core principles of his party in public, I expect Goodyear to be out on his ass in a week, after telling the Globe And Mail that he thinks evolution is a religious issue. But, hey, for variety, this time it's an antiscience anti-education moron appointed to run science, rather than another white supremacist being put in charge of INAC again.

EDIT: That didn't take long! One call from Harper, and the creationist nutjob has recanted!
