Most Russians don't seem to mind this Anglo affectation, but I personally hate fake Cyrillic. One of the pics on that site has:

Hitler: Change!
Obama: CHANGE!
Lenin: SNDISE!

Sndise? Oh, no, anything but sndise. Please spare us from the horrors of sndise.

"Change" in Cyrillic should be "Чандж" (Chandzh) or at least "Чанге" (Chan'ge), not "Сндисэ" (Sndise).

I don't know Cyrillic well enough to catch that, but it does irritate me when I see it in fake Greek. Or rather, GRSSK, because people will use capital sigma for 'E'.

Yah; for example, the title sequence for the movie SNSMU OW TES ?TATS bugs the crap out of me, because when I see that first Σ my brain flips into Greek-alphabet mode (and then I wonder how long ago the movie is supposed to be set, because of the digamma ...)

Cyrillic, Greek, ... either way, they think they're being cute, but the message they're sending is, "We don't actually understand that these are different alphabets, not just a different font." *grr*
