Beaut! That's always bugged me. Especially because of the weird archetypal bullshit with the princes, half of whom barely even have names. They are The Prince in that story, you have to look for an absolute Disney fanatic to find someone who even knows their name without hitting up IMDB. They're just the Designated Patriarchy Dude for that movie.
According to IMDB, the ones from Snow White, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast don't have names, unless Cinderella's "Prince Charming" counts as a name. For Snow White and Beauty, they're listed as "Prince" and "Beast."
(The others are Eric, Aladdin, and Phillip. I actually remembered the Sleeping Beauty guy. Don't even ask me why. That's probably a brain cell I could be using for something relevant.)
It's not "Adam" in any of the movies or television shows. That was just revealed in one obscure CD-ROM game. The Snow White prince was completely unnamed.
And, yeah, Prince Phillip was all that. He's also slandered here, since he and Aurora had confessed their mutual affection before he kissed her. Much more pleasant than even the censored versions of the fairy tale.
You know, I always thought that wish was kinda bullshit, because it seemed like the genie just gave him a bunch of stuff. It didn't seem like the guy actually became a PRINCE of anything - he just got RICH.
I could have sworn that there was an episode of the animated series dealing with the fallout of the fact that Aladdin's first wish created an entire principality that he was in charge of and drawing his resources for that big parade from, and then he just kind of fucked off and never thought about it again. But that might just be me thinking there should have been.
Being the parent of one of these characters is no walk in the park either. There's more dead moms and dads in these stories than red shirted corpses in Star Trek.
