It's funny--unless you're the one in the bathtub, taking a nice "relaxing" bath when this happens. Then it's painful (and funny, but only much later).

This is my cat. Only my cat has very long hair that traps lots of air in it.

And my tub has a slightly slanted back, for leaning on.

So she slid down it and floated away in the tub, with a look of acute kitty horror... until she got nearer the side of the tub and went into AUGHAUGHAGUAHGUAGHAGHWRARRGLEARGBARGLE mode.

At least (s)he fell in right away.

My cat once fell mostly in but had her front paws on the bottom and back paws on the edge, scrabbling to push herself back out. Her head was underwater. Because she was drowning (and just wet, honestly) she was clawing at anything that came in reach. We had to just push her in so she could jump out.
