The fuck is that guy doing in a dungeon without an offensive caster backing him up?

I think the rest of the party has already met their much-deserved fate (see earlier panels!)...

He's not playing D20, and so a fighter can theoretically be something otehr than a speedbump while the Druid explodes anything?

(Of course, if he's playing non-crap D&D, he's screwed because he's alone and facing perpetual Stunlock from the Flayer and Crawler ganging up on him.)

Yeah, most of the casters in our game were pretty offensive too.

My guess is that he was chosen to keep the monsters fed between professional adventuring parties. Better sacrifice an occaisional unlucky victim and have the monsters stay in the dungeon than having them wander all over the place and clutter up encounter tables.

I'm now thinking about The Little Golem that Could and Displacer Beast in Boots (of Elvenkind).

Hi, comic artist here (originally posted here (http://darkplacescomic.com/archive/the-very-hungry-rust-monster-page-1)). Glad you like it. :D I caught the mention by @masterflare and @the_gneech on Twitter and followed it back here.
