poor security design

I lock my phone with a PIN. However on android this is allowed to be an arbitrary length number. A hacker can punch in 4 digit numbers forever without gaining access to my phone. There are other security flaws that could be exploited but not that one.

How the hell can you use 1234 as a password?!

Same reason you'd buy an iPhone.

Back when i had an iPhone, it was FOAD.

The Android pattern lock is much cooler.

I wonder if there's similar data for Android pattern locks.

iphones (ios4) allow arbitrary keylock codes. few people use them.

few people use complex passwords unless forced to do so either.

many people don't want to 'fight their way into their phone' just to make a call, or look something up...
