You sold my email address, you spamming douchebags.

And I know it was you because you're the only people who *ever* got that address. I created it just for you, just like I create a unique address for every company. So that when you sell it? I know.

You dumb shits.

Probably just "not buying any Bioware/EA games at full price ever".

Which is already pretty much my policy.

Wow - I'd actually send an Email/letter to the CEO, especially if they have an actual "we will not sell your Email, ever." Because it's also possible that something untoward happened that should not have happened.

Not that I would be surprised about EA doing something scummy (you don't say!) but some spammers try using common names and words at known domains. So if the email was something like bioware@theweaselking.com then EA might not be to blame.

Agreed. I'd say that this warrants a lovely letter to corporate (and posts documenting any subsequent hilarious exchanges). They'll have a heck of a time denying it, given the circumstances.

I was going to note that, IIRC, I got an email from Bioware a couple of months ago about a database breach they'd had... this could be incompetance rather than malice.

-- Steve didn't care very much; he used an email address that gets tons of spam already, so any addition would be imperceptable.

yes! a strongly worded letter!

I'm sure they have a policy saying "your personal information is ours now, bitch" because almost everyone has that nowadays.
