My favorite sports headline, from the first year the MLS team the Columbus Crew (that's soccer) played the Kansas City Wiz. Since it was their first year, their stadium was still under construction, so they were playing in Ohio State's football stadium, which is known as the Horseshoe (because of its shape). The Crew won.
The best sports headline must go to The Sun, after mighty Celtic suffered a 3-1 defeat against lowly Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup: "Super Caley Go Ballistic, Celtic Are Atrocious"
