Why ya gotta diss Luddites like that? They disliked certain technologies that directly threatened their livelihoods. That's far more reasonable than being anti-knowledge.
Creationists, on the other hand, are railing against knowledge that A) isn't threatening their jobs, and B) they have benefitted from (you know, modern biology and all. If Luddites were railing against spinning wheels and primitive looms, then it would be comparable.
Considering the serious anti-knowledge bent of Creationists, I might call them a lovecraft of Creationists.
