Yeeeah. I hadn't scouted out its location yet, but being located at [The Alnwick Garden, Denwick Lane, Alnwick, Northumberland, NE66 1YU]
... one could merely travel to London or Edinburgh or Newcastle, and take a train/bus/taxi right on over!

(I say from my home in central VA. :)

Looks like part of the backyard of The Munsters or The Addams Family!
The address ought to be 1313 Mockingbird Lane!

Wasn't there a garden like that in You Only Live Twice?

It's no good without extensive groves of Gympie-Gympie, Wait-a-While, and Bunya Pine trees (not poisonous, but... 10kg pine cones falling from 20-30m...)

No objections. Everything I post publicly is, well, public.

And palm trees. You gotta watch out for coconuts, those suckers kill more people every year than the sharks do.

Is it weird that the skull-and-crossbones motif has the complete opposite effect on me than what was likely intended? As in, I immediately want to go in and check it out?

...You seriously could not take a taxi from any of those locations to Alnwick unless you have a looooot of money XD

I went in the winter, this bit wasn't very exciting but the guide enthused about the patches of empty ground anyway :)

According to Snopes, that's a myth... but yeah, some coconut palms for the ones the Bunyas miss.

Okay, okay, a bit far for a taxi. But the bus goes there, and the rail lines get close enough for a bus or taxi!

Did a tour of the Poison Garden. When we came to the Cannabis plant, we were told that they were only allowed one plant so it wouldn't reproduce. Somehow they've ended up with two. Seems a seed from another plant nearby floated in.

Damn -- I'm in the UK right now, but near Brighton -- bit far to go from here without a car, sadly!
