It's like "military intelligence"
Jan. 18th, 2013 11:43 amCatholic hospitals refuse to treat rape victims for "ethical reasons"
Despite two Catholic hospitals independently confirming that they have orders from the local Cardinal to not treat rape victims, the Cardinal's office claims that no such order exists and this is just a misunderstanding.

Date: 2013-01-19 02:30 am (UTC)If you want to generalize about what the Western world thinks of treating women badly, it's not "We collectively think only Islamic countries do it." It's "We collectively only object when Islamic countries do it. When it happens here, some of us object and a lot of others will busily get bogged down in excuses about morality, or valuing the embryo over the human, or how when children wear makeup they're asking to be raped."
