Oh, to have been present at the cutting - I'm assuming it had to have been prepared as a surprise. =:D

Brilliant work. Fascinatingly realistically carved for the basic shape, then all the subtle details, like the dimples where the feathers would've been on the "skin", and the way the skin seems stretched where the leg meets the body.. ! I wonder if there's a Making Of video for it somewhere.
