Martin Ferrier, a serial rapist and arsonist who told authorities that his mission in life is to be Canada's "most prolific killer," is about to be released from prison after refusing all treatment and showing no remorse for his victims.
Even his mother, who loves him dearly, says he should remain locked up because she's afraid he'll kill at random so he can return to prison, where he feels most comfortable.
Prison doctors say he has intentions of mass murder, hears voices instructing him to kill and is ranked as one of the violent criminals most likely to re-offend.
The doctors also report that he wants to "become a household name, like Bernardo or Manson."
The National Parole Board also says Mr. Ferrier, diagnosed as an "incurable psychopath," will kill once released.
Still, the 31-year-old rapist, who has lived in Ottawa, Toronto and Northern Ontario, will walk away from prison on July 7, the day his sentence expires.
