I used to work at LaRC. Largest collection of wind tunnels in the world, most of them rotting due to lack of funds. I didn't know the 14' tunnel was still operational; glad at least one is left.

I've visited LaRC a few times as a contractor, and seen a few wind tunnels from the outside, but never any closer/cooler than that..
