Like all reasonable people, I think Orson Scott Card is a repugnant and worthless piece of shit who would make the world a better place by retroactively dying.[1]

As such, I refuse to give him money or reward other people who are giving him money.

As such, like all reasonable people, I am not going to see Ender's Game. But I've decided to take this one step further, and I'm not going to any theatre showing his racist, sexist, homophobic dipshit ass' Hitler-apologia movie. And I'm telling them about it. "Hi, we were planning to go to your theatre and spend money, but we changed our minds because you're showing Ender's Game, and Card is such a horrible person that I cannot in good conscience do business with you while you're showing his work".

I'm not just not buying a ticket, I'm also not buying any OTHER tickets while those tickets are for sale. And making sure they know it. And making sure that theatres that AREN'T showing it know that's explicitly why I chose them over their competitors. And when it leaves theatres[2] I'll smile a little.

You all should do this too. Don't just NOT buy a ticket to Ender's Game, don't buy a ticket to anything showing in the same building as Ender's Game, and make sure the theatre knows that's why they're not getting your business. Don't just let Ender's Game die a horribly money-losing death that causes Card properties to be forever considered Michael Richards-level toxic, make *the existence of a Card property* cause OTHER movies to also suffer.

I may be slightly angry.

[1]: "Don't hold back! Tell us how you REALLY feel."
[2]: hopefully sometime around Tuesday due to absolutely tanking AND taking other movies down with it, but I'm not holding my breath.
