(More seriously, growing up in Australia with a skin tone inherited from my Scots ancestors, my choices were sunscreen or second degree burns. It's probably best not to go throwing out the sunscreen just yet - and I note that the abstract suggests dietary intervention as a primary effort. Nonetheless, this is very cool, and will be totally ignored by the anti-vax nutjobs.)
You know, I'm happier for my kid to be next to the kid with sunburn than the kid with measles when it comes to people not really grasping how things work.
While that's true and all, I might point out that said second degree burns were acquired while spending a day with kids of Mediterranean skin tone, whose parents, despite advice to the contrary, didn't see sunscreen as a big deal... Willful ignorance is bad no matter where you find it.
