Will they have a question about the "head of the household" or somesuch, too? Because I can tell you (from experience with our last census) that that's always, invariably, the one who doesn't clean the 'loo (I picked Filou, the cat).

We put our cat on the last census. It's like the government doesn't care about pets, but gives all kinds of tax breaks for children. Most children can open cupboards to get food, I think the cat is a bit more dependent than the kid. ;)
