Connecticut State Trooper suspended after telling a 911 caller seeking help for a man injured in a motorcycle accident "too bad" and hanging up on him - then saying "Shouldn't be playing games" and hanging up again when a second person called back.

The third 911 call reached a different dispatcher, who handled the situation and stayed on the line.

State police said the dismissive answer by Trooper Robert Peasley did not affect the response time to the accident involving Justin Sawyer, 21, who died of a severe head injury a week after the motorcycle accident.

Yes, I'm sure calling three times did not affect the fucking response time one whit. At least when you calculate response time as being from the start of the call that gets help sent.

And for that the man only gets suspended, rather than being locked away as a danger to himself particularly others?

To be fair, it's possible that the guy who hung up dispatched an ambulance first, and hence his hanging up is criminal rudeness and stupidity but actually *didn't* affect response time.

The story does not specify.
