Bob Jones University to seek accreditation.

The move is expected to be hindered by the fact that the most common fields of study at the school are:
"Creation Science"
"Them dirty negroes"
"Giving money to preachers"
and
"Why teh buttsex is icky"

(Speaking of which, check out the Res rules.)

C&c warning!

I think their dress code prohibits me from ever attending.

I don't know how I will handle the disappointment.

(Does "New Age, jazz, rock, and country" somehow cover heavy metal? Just checking.)

L&c,

To be fair, the article states they're seeking accrediation from the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, not a secular organization.

But remind me never to go there.

I was thinking the same thing. Does any one care if a bunch of fundimentalists want to transfer to another bunch of fundimentalists?

Probably. Heavy metal is often placed under the "rock" heading.

Rules i would have a hard time living by:
# An email account is provided for each student. Due to the flood of objectionable content coming through outside email services, students may use only this filtered campus email system.
# All wireless access to the Internet is forbidden since all Internet use must go through the University's filtered access.
- IE no pr0n!

New Age, jazz, rock, and country music is not permitted.
- hmmmm, at least they banned country .p

Televisions and DVD/videocassette players are not permitted in the residence halls; computer DVD players may not be used to view movies.
- what? no pr0n!

Residence hall students may not watch videos above a G rating when visiting homes in town and may not attend movie theaters.
- OMG WTF?

A sad error in common classification, given that it's got about twice as many notes.

(I suppose that if you compressed Mozart, then, you could get metal...)

In fact, I think many power and symphonic metal bands have been known to sample classical pieces into their music.

It's a way how I hooked my mother onto some metal - "It's classical music, only played loudly".
