While making your own lightsaber is a common test for apprentice Jedi, usually you don't make them out of flourescent light tubes and gasoline, then set them on fire and whack each other with them.

Funny, that was exactly my thought. Although my variant was gasoline mixed with stearine from those candle-type thingies, and then allowed to harden. Makes for very nice firelighters.
