A friend of mine's cat got killed a few years ago. By a person. Not an accident.

This kills me a little bit inside. I can watch people do "nice things to each other", as my former Prof puts it, most of the time.

I can't stand it when it happens to animals. It really makes me feel sick.

I suspect if I ever caught someone torturing an animal, I would probably be charged with several things as I returned the favour.
